Albania

Kurt and Stephanie Plagenhoof, missionaries to Albania, report that the church building in Fushe Kruja, Albania, is the first in the history of the city. Though there was opposition on the city counsel to a Christian church being built in a Muslim community, God gave us favor and pushed forward his dream for these lost people.  As you can see in the attached picture, the structure has been built, the roof is on, and the walls are plastered.  The final step in the project is the installation of tiles, window, doors, the electric system, and painting.  We need $50,000 to complete the building phase.  As of February 1st, we had to suspend the work due to lack of funds.  At the same time, the landlord who owns the building that we are renting has asked us to move out so that he can use it for a business. This has put quite a bit of pressure on us.
However we have just received a wonderful challenge and opportunity!  Michael McNamee of Convoy of Hope Europe has pledged to give $25,000 if we can match it with another $25,000 to finish the building.  Perhaps two or three churches could meet this need, or if 10 churches or individuals give $2,500 each, the goal will be met.  Would you prayerfully do all you can to help?  We are so close to completing the work...please help us pass the finish line.  Your contribution at this time will have double impact, so that makes it a good investment.  The giving information is below.  The church is ready to move into the new facility and take the gospel to the next level in the community.
Thank you for helping us to make this vision a reality.

Include a note stating that your contribution is for project number 9043, Fushe Kruja Church.

Also, please keep our Bible college students in prayer.  From April 9-13, we will be sending ministry teams to Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro and for the first time to a sensitive Muslim country. Ask the Lord for his anointing, presence, authority, and protection.  Pray for fruit that will last and for Albanian missionaries to be called and sent.

From Mel Rolls at Rescue Atlanta

Lots of exciting news to share with you this month! First of all, as mentioned in our last E-news the Lord made a way to pay off our facility! This in itself is a miracle as people laughed when we committed to buy this building for ministry. My boast is in the Lord and in Him only!

Finances have been a challenge. As of today, we have zeroed out all of the accounts and we are $3500 in the RED. We have continued to minister to the people God desperately wants, and have continued to give to Missions each month as well. God's heart is Missions. I am convinced that we are here today because we give! We will continue to "Trust God Every Day for Everything!"

Our goal is to be debt free by years end. Will you agree with us? Our biggest expense is Fuel & Food. To be totally vulnerable with you our supporters, we let a few Credit Cards get away from us. They are within reach, and we are making decisions that will help us reach that goal.

Being that most of our family serves here in some capacity, we are going to start car-pooling several days a week. This will enable us to save hundreds of dollars a month as just my car alone goes through 3 tanks of gas a week!

We are looking at ways to stream-line our bus and van routes. Some routes are bigger than others, and some routes may be able to be combined.

We are losing a long time paid staff member on April 8th. We are going to distribute his responsibilities among those "left behind" and even discontinue a few things that aren't "necessary" and use his small salary to put toward debt reduction.

I really feel that God wants us to be Debt Free. It is the way I was discipled and we need to get there in order to not be a slave to the lender. God will provide!

It has been an amazing month of ministry as we have had teams come and serve with us from Florida International University, University of Connecticut, Vanderbilt University, and High School teams from Houston, Texas and Deltona, Florida. What a month of life-changing ministry!

These teams were also an answer to prayer as it helped us financially, as well. The transmission went out on one of our buses and we were not going to "Charge" it. We had to have cash or it was going to "sit". With the "unexpected" UCONN team, (of course God knew) we were able to get it fixed for "cash".

I know we can count on your prayers for these financial needs to be met. We will need some "miracle offerings" for this to happen, but we serve a "Miracle Working God".

Churches all over our Metro are foreclosing on their buildings, and having to file bankruptcy ... we are determined that "if" we go out, we are going out GIVING and with a song of praise on our lips of how Great our God is!

You can give securely via PayPal on our website www.RescueAtlanta.com or sending your most generous gift to Rescue Atlanta P.O. Box 965039 Marietta, Georgia 30066

Just know that we love you and pray for you often. Thanks for listening to God and being a part of what He has called us to do in Atlanta, New Orleans, Miami, Haiti, and Kenya!
