Call to Prayer from Kurt Plagenhoef
Dear
Prayer Partners,
“The
prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” James 5:16
We
are calling you to a time of prayer and intercession for us and the work here
in Albania, Macedonia and Kosovo. Last night, we came under spiritual attack through demonic
dreams. We got up in the middle of the night and began to intercede. Through
that time of intercession, we discerned the origin of these attacks, which we
will share below. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but spiritual.
Let’s take up the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God, and the shield of
faith, as we stand against the devil’s schemes. We ask you to pray
specifically for these needs:
1. For
divine protection, unity, spiritual anointing and discernment, authority over
principalities and powers, and ministry breakthroughs for miss*y personnel in:
- Albania—Kurt and Stephanie and Scott and Suzi and our
children
- Kosovo—Steve and Lisa and Sebi and Georgiana and their
children
- Macedonia—Rina, Dardajan, Betuel and Bianca, Elijah,
Nik and Deborah
2. For
Lisa in Kosovo who is under spiritual attack through chronic pneumonia. She
needs total deliverance and healing. Believe with us for this to be immediately
manifest in her body.
3.
Jesus said, "I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail
against it.” Pray that the kingdom of darkness will be uprooted before
the mighty working of the Spirit in Mitrovica, Kosovo and Skopje, Macedonia and
that our miss*y personnel will have victory. Pray that churches
will be planted this year in both cities to the glory of God. There is
powerful spiritual resistance in these places as the kingdom of God is
advancing. We must stand in faith and declare that the victory is ours and that
Satan’s dominion is defeated.
4. Pray
specifically for unity in the multi-national teams in Skopje and Mitrovica. The
word balkanize, derived from Balkans, means “to divide a region or body into
smaller mutually hostile states or groups.” There is a spiritual principality
of division in this region. In the past, it has succeeded in dividing nations,
ethnic groups, churches, national pastors, marriages, and ministry teams.
HOWEVER, WE WILL NOT BE DIVIDED. Declare with us that this principality has no
power against the work of God or those who are laboring in his harvest field.
Bind the strong man. The enemy is defeated through the work of Christ
accomplished on the cross.
5.
The work in Mitrovica has been dormant for two years, but we have the promise
of God that he will resurrect it. We discerned in the Spirit that the source of
this specific attack is from demonic powers in Mitrovica.
- Pray that God will breathe new life into the dry bones
of Mitrovica.
- Pray that a powerful, unified ministry team will be
assembled there.
- Pray for divine favor and open doors.
- Pray for salvation, miracles, healing, dreams and
visions to be manifest among the people of Mitrovica, and that many will
come to Christ.
6.
Stand with us on the promises of God's Word.
- “The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your
feet.” Rom. 16:20 — Pray that we will soon see the defeat of
Satan in Mitrovica and Skopje.
- “…we are not unaware of his [Satan’s] schemes.” 2 Cor.
2:11 — Pray that we will all have spiritual discernment, strength
to stand against the enemy, and trust in Christ’s power to defeat him.
- “…the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome
the evil one.” 1 Jn. 2:14 — Pray for us to stand in faith upon the
Word, be strengthened and encouraged through the Word, and that the Lord
will uphold us as we wrestle in the spiritual realm to overcome the evil
one.
- “The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the
devil’s work.” 1 Jn. 3:8 — Declare with us that the devil’s work
is defeated through Christ in Albania, Mitrovica, and Skopje.
7. Pray
for the upcoming student outreaches from Evangelical Theological College—for
protection as we travel, open doors, divine favor, effective evangelism, unity,
peace, and authority in the spiritual realm. Pray for the leaders as well.
- Team to Kosovo and Montenegro led by Gezim, April 14-18
- Team to Turkey led by Kurt, April 15-21
- Team to Macedonia led by Ervin and Scott, April 21-25.
This team needs free lodging. Pray for this provision.
Thank
you, intercessors, for upholding us in prayer. The Lord is faithful to his
Word. Please share anything with us that you receive in prayer. We are grateful
for your partnership.
Your
co-laborers in the harvest,
Kurt
and Stephanie Plagenhoef

Jervis Fisher exhorts the congregation to not give up on their dreams!! |
The Fishers shared some of the history of LOL. Jervis went on to share his heart about God using ALL of us. He has given us all dreams and He knows that we cannot accomplish those dreams without his help!! We CANNOT lose sight of the dreams God has given us. We CANNOT give up. We must move forward with the plans that He has for us!
It was an amazing time with God this Sunday and many came to the altars to re-commit to the dreams God has given them!

Albania
Kurt and Stephanie Plagenhoof, missionaries to Albania, report that the church building in Fushe Kruja, Albania, is the first in the history of the city. Though there was opposition on the city counsel to a Christian church being built in a Muslim community, God gave us favor and pushed forward his dream for these lost people. As you can see in the attached picture, the structure has been built, the roof is on, and the walls are plastered. The final step in the project is the installation of tiles, window, doors, the electric system, and painting. We need $50,000 to complete the building phase. As of February 1st, we had to suspend the work due to lack of funds. At the same time, the landlord who owns the building that we are renting has asked us to move out so that he can use it for a business. This has put quite a bit of pressure on us.
However we have just received a wonderful challenge and opportunity! Michael McNamee of Convoy of Hope Europe has pledged to give $25,000 if we can match it with another $25,000 to finish the building. Perhaps two or three churches could meet this need, or if 10 churches or individuals give $2,500 each, the goal will be met. Would you prayerfully do all you can to help? We are so close to completing the work...please help us pass the finish line. Your contribution at this time will have double impact, so that makes it a good investment. The giving information is below. The church is ready to move into the new facility and take the gospel to the next level in the community.
Thank you for helping us to make this vision a reality.

From Mel Rolls at Rescue Atlanta
Lots of exciting news to share with you this month! First of all, as mentioned in our last E-news the Lord made a way to pay off our facility! This in itself is a miracle as people laughed when we committed to buy this building for ministry. My boast is in the Lord and in Him only!
Finances have been a challenge. As of today, we have zeroed out all of the accounts and we are $3500 in the RED. We have continued to minister to the people God desperately wants, and have continued to give to Missions each month as well. God's heart is Missions. I am convinced that we are here today because we give! We will continue to "Trust God Every Day for Everything!"
Our goal is to be debt free by years end. Will you agree with us? Our biggest expense is Fuel & Food. To be totally vulnerable with you our supporters, we let a few Credit Cards get away from us. They are within reach, and we are making decisions that will help us reach that goal.
Being that most of our family serves here in some capacity, we are going to start car-pooling several days a week. This will enable us to save hundreds of dollars a month as just my car alone goes through 3 tanks of gas a week!
We are looking at ways to stream-line our bus and van routes. Some routes are bigger than others, and some routes may be able to be combined.
We are losing a long time paid staff member on April 8th. We are going to distribute his responsibilities among those "left behind" and even discontinue a few things that aren't "necessary" and use his small salary to put toward debt reduction.
I really feel that God wants us to be Debt Free. It is the way I was discipled and we need to get there in order to not be a slave to the lender. God will provide!
It has been an amazing month of ministry as we have had teams come and serve with us from Florida International University, University of Connecticut, Vanderbilt University, and High School teams from Houston, Texas and Deltona, Florida. What a month of life-changing ministry!
These teams were also an answer to prayer as it helped us financially, as well. The transmission went out on one of our buses and we were not going to "Charge" it. We had to have cash or it was going to "sit". With the "unexpected" UCONN team, (of course God knew) we were able to get it fixed for "cash".
I know we can count on your prayers for these financial needs to be met. We will need some "miracle offerings" for this to happen, but we serve a "Miracle Working God".
Churches all over our Metro are foreclosing on their buildings, and having to file bankruptcy ... we are determined that "if" we go out, we are going out GIVING and with a song of praise on our lips of how Great our God is!
You can give securely via PayPal on our website www.RescueAtlanta.com or sending your most generous gift to Rescue Atlanta P.O. Box 965039 Marietta, Georgia 30066
Just know that we love you and pray for you often. Thanks for listening to God and being a part of what He has called us to do in Atlanta, New Orleans, Miami, Haiti, and Kenya!
